For part of my evaluation, i had shown a range of ages and gender to see whether my magazine is achieving the genre/look that i want it to.
The questions i asked were:
1. Does this look like a magazine?
100% of the audience said yes.
2. Would you buy it?
100% said yes, but 25% said if it were there type.
3. What genre do you think it is? e.g Rock, Pop, Indie
100% of the audience said it was Pop.
4. Do you think it has a housestyle?
100% said yes
5. Who do you think the audience is? e.g Female/Male. Age
100% said female teenagers - 20
6. What do you think of the article
100% said it was interesting
These are some quotes i got from them about the article
'Good questions and gets a clear view of why she left her band and what she is doing now.'
' It's a very good article, it gives the reader an idea with what's happening with the band and she remembers who left it, also the article is very detailed.'
7. Is the layout like a magazine?
100% said yes. And some also said:
'Easy to read and informative front cover, good layout'
'The layout is veyr good, it looks professional and appealing.'
8. What tone is the article? e.g Chatty, in your face.
The audience said:
'Friendly article - comes over well'
'Upbeat, focused on audience'
'It's wrote in the right way for the audience that it's aiming for. It's not too formal'.
This questionnaire has helped me to see whether i went wrong, and what were my best feautures of the magazine, and what parts didn't work so well.
